G.E.M. embarked on her first leg of X.X.X. World Tour with 5 full-house shows in Hong Kong Coliseum in April last year and her new tour series are expected to happen in more than 50 cities. “The three X’s stand for “more to eXpose, more to eXpect and more eXciting,” the singer says.
G.E.M. X.X.X. World Tour is brought on stage by a top-notch production team coupled with some of the world’s most talented and experienced musicians and stage professions, including music director Lupo Groinig from Austria; Jamie Wollam, onetime drummer for King of Pop Michael Jackson; sound engineer Matsunaga Tetsuya from Japan; and costume designer Emma Wallace from Great Britain.
The highlights are nothing short of her terrific stage performances, ranging from a marching band to a show by aerial silk dancers. Besides, the fun music arrangement, impressive stage setup featuring gigantic LED screen with myriad light effects, including a surreal stream punk-themed scene in Victorian style and a 70s party scene simply made up a perfect mix to fill the stadium with vitality and excitement.
G.E.M. possesses great versatility in a range of music styles and she is set to showcase her diverse musical talents at the 1-night performance.
Making her showbiz debut at 15, she then became the youngest artist to perform at the Hong Kong Coliseum, when she was 19. G.E.M.‘s popularity has skyrocketed since her astonishing performance in the China’s hit reality TV show, “I Am a Singer 2”. Her internet fans jumped from having 1.5 million followers to 10.5 million, along her hitting big milestone reaches over 100 million views on her Youtube Channel.
