Synopsis
The World's first groundbreaking Malay contemporary opera in Performing Arts Industry of Malaysia. A new composition by Associate Professor Dr Tazul Tajuddin combining Malaysian traditional Mak Yong, Gamelan with western Choir and orchestra ensemble using modern compositional method and computer generated multi-media.
This is based on the legend of Puteri Saadong from Kelantan who was married to Raja Abdullah and was then captured by the King of Siam, Raja Narai. The drama unfolds from the marriage to the fights in the palaces until the release and return of Puteri Saadong.
Presenting Syafinaz Selamat as Puteri Saadong and featuring Dato' Ahmad Tamimi Siregar as narrator.
