SYNOPSIS

Light in the Unknown
A beautiful blend of live music, lyrical and dramatic poetry. Works include celebrated poetry of Coleridge’s “Kubla Khan”, Denise Levertov's “Kyrie” and lyrical poems by Kathleen Raine. Weaving through the performance are live music for cello and piano from Janacek’s “Fairy Tale”, Hindemith's solo cello  Sonata, and beautiful piano pieces by Bach, Chopin and Youchu Usami. 
Feast your eyes on speech and music, unfolding through the universal language of colourful movement!

The Lady and the Lion 
A spellbinding fairytale by the brothers Grimm tells the story of a young woman, who must brave through a seven-year quest to find and rescue her beloved Lion – a prince under the spell of an evil enchantress. On her journey, she seeks help from the Sun, Moon and the four Winds. It takes all of her strength and courage to overcome fierce obstacles, such as the Dragon and much more...   a fairytale for all ages.
A captivating combination of movement, colours, storytelling and live music that will surely enliven your senses and imagination!
There will be ½ hour interactive session with the performing artists after each show.
